I've always loved these videos though I think I outgrew them some time ago. Still makes me chuckle a little.

Most JW's do not feel worthy of being a JW because they recognize it is impossible to meet all the demands put on them. Those men who bceome elders are viewed as Uber Witnesses. They have met "scriptural requirements" and are "appointed by Holy Spirit." So who wouldn't go to the ones who have it all together in order to get direction on how to be like them? It's quite delusional and sick. The fact that most all complain about the elders and yet submit to them because of thier "qualifications" and or the directive NOT to challenge authority, submit to the stupidest things.

i could never understand what was "good " about the "good news "
by looloo inas someone recruited in my 20s and spent about 6 years "interested " though never baptised , i just felt depressed after the lovebombing i received at first , i felt trapped by knowing "the truth" and wished i hadnt heard about it .
i couldnt understand what was good news about billions of innocents dying including poor children who have suffered enough in countries where there is famine etc... and all my relatives were doomed along with them !
i was a much happier person before i met jws believing you go to heaven after your death and live with god jesus and your loved ones .

Remember, all other people besides JW's are objectified as evil, killers, immoral and enemies of a peaceful earth. THEY are ruining the earth and have to go. ONce you buy into that all you see are the benefits. That horror is compartmenalized so that the lovely Picnic with a Panda World becomes all. You were a clear thinker who didn't buy into the BS as some of us did. Of course they got me quite young.

It was a wise move to jump in the fray. Welcome. Weekends are slow for postings so just wait, you'll get coments soon. Speak your mind often.

JW Youtube, Partnership / Ad's
by Pig injust wondered what you guys think.
apparently youtube has managed to silence the average video makers, push them off the "featured video list" and only promote the big guys with ad revenue enabled.
allot of talented musicians and film makers have left as a result of this, and they have been replaced with attention whores screaming "look at me, i say rude stuff, look at my hair!".

Once you raise the flag of dissent the axe of conformity will chop it down. Meaning, you just resigned and put them on notice you are an apostate. You aren't flying under the radar, your pissing on it.

how prevalent do you think this attitude is?
by cptkirk inpeople in congregations around the country (world - i have no idea what goes on in other countries with the jws) staying in the borg for all kinds of backwards reasons?
how prevalent %% wise do you think this is?
for example people manifesting "fear of man", fear of being ridiculed by members for leaving, or family reasons, or just to much stock in the organization to take the loss connected with leaving....all of whom really no longer believe the faith the way it's presented?

I think most who stay in beleive 89 % of it or more. They stay because of the axiom: "where else shall we go?". They buy into the teaching of: "The worst day as a witness is better than the best day being a worldly person." It's all part of the conditioning.

AGuest: My apologies for not getting back but I was studying the inside of my eyelids. I tend to do a lot of extra studying these days. You needn't study for questions, they don't have answers anyway. You needn't send money, there's no one to spend it to. You do need to donate though, into a bank account of your own making for any purpose other than a religious organization. Baptism is by sprinkling a little mountain dew or beverage of your choice into a glass and saying, "there's no place like home." Go and be blessed.

Well said Ambersum. It often amazes me that more sisters don't see through the haze though the ones that do are so sensible and admirable.
